Approve the appointment of John Dow to serve on the Glynn-Brunswick Land Bank to fill the unexpired term of Don Myers.  The term will begin immediately and end June 13, 2025.

Approve a request from the Golden Isles King Mac Attack Tournament organizers to use Gascoigne Bluff Park at no cost on August 16-17, 2024 to host the 2024 tournament and allow the event to close the dock to public access from 3pm to 6pm on August 17th to allow participants to have controlled access to weigh fish in a safe manner, subject to the issuance of a Public Conduct Permit from Glynn County Police Department.

Approve a rental agreement with FP Mailing Solutions and authorize the purchase of a new mailing system in the amount of $13,516.82 with funding to be provided by the Capital Projects Fund undesignated Fund Balance.

PUBLIC HEARING - LANDFILL 

This public hearing is conducted in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 12-8-24(d), which requires a hearing by the county governing authority on landfill applications prior to a decision by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. The Board of Commissioners has no role in deciding whether the permit is granted. The hearing will be limited to 30 minutes. Each individual speaker is allocated up to 5 minutes. Comments and questions are to be limited to relevant information and avoid being repetitious. Groups with a spokesperson should allow them to present the group’s comments. As required by law, a transcript of this hearing will be provided to the EPD for its review prior to a decision on the permit.

22.

Seaboard Inert Landfill - Hold a public hearing regarding Seaboard Construction Company’s application to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) for a permit to operate a Private Inert Landfill at 7600 Golden Isles Parkway, Brunswick, 31525. The purpose of the hearing is to collect comments to forward to the EPD; the Board of Commissioners does not vote on the application.
